Verbal confrontation occurs between police and protesters

There was a verbal confrontation near the Rustaveli metro station, where protestors tried to block the road during the protest march.
The situation became tense after one of the leaders of the Dafion movement, Zviad Tsetskhladze, called on the participants in the protest march to stand on the road, but the representative of the patrol police did not allow them to do so.
As the patrol officer explained to Tskeladze, the protestors would be fined for blocking the road, and Tskeladze tried to explain to him that it was difficult for the protestors to move on the narrow sidewalk.
The situation soon calmed down. The organizers of the rally decided to continue the march along the pedestrian path.
The rally was planned in connection with the events of June 20, 2019. According to the participants in the rally, today's rally is taking place in connection with the 5th anniversary of the so-called Gavrilov's night. According to the protestors, they are protesting the change of the western course of the government and note that the Georgian Dream has led the country to the "Russian orbit".
