In the 25th paragraph of the declaration of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, it is written rightly and directly that the government of Georgian Dream is carrying out a hybrid special operation against its own citizens - that is why they did not support the declaration, the rest is cheap propaganda, - Strategy Builder MP Paata Manjgaladze said while talking to journalists.
According to him, it became clear that territorial integrity or withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Georgia are not important for Georgian Dream, and that they only care about their narrow party goals and interests.
"It is a very important declaration. It directly talks about the fact that Russia is the occupier, the occupying forces must leave the sovereign territory of Georgia, including Abkhazia and the so-called South Ossetia. There is also a record regarding democracy and elections. In fact, territorial integrity or withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Georgia are not important for Georgian Dream. What is important to them is paragraph 25, in which the government is conducting a hybrid war against its own citizens. This is why they did not support it. The rest is cheap propaganda”, Manjgaladze said.
The Parliamentary Assembly of the OSCE expresses concern regarding the adoption of the law "On transparency of foreign influence" in Georgia. As mentioned in the declaration adopted by the OSCE, the implementation of anti-democratic legislation and policies by the current government of Georgia undermines the fragile democracy of the country and the Euro-Atlantic choice of the Georgian people.
In addition, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly calls on Russia to immediately withdraw its armed forces from the occupied territories of Georgia. According to the declaration, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly condemns the deterioration of the humanitarian and human rights situation in the regions of Georgia occupied by Russia.
The Georgian Dream delegation did not support the declaration.
