The most important summit - the 75th NATO anniversary summit - is being held in the US capital. It is very important that Georgia is invited and participates in this summit together with other partner countries, this is a message that Georgia is a very strong ally of the Alliance in the region, - said the head of the Foreign Ministry, Ilia Darchiashvili, while evaluating Georgia's participation in the NATO anniversary summit in the US capital.

According to him, the Georgian side has been consistently building these relations for years and it is important that this process continues.

"We have made European and Euro-Atlantic integration a constitutional norm of our country, the fact that Georgia has very clear foreign policy vectors is confirmed by the fact that Georgia is participating in this most important summit today in Washington. As for the challenges, it has not gone anywhere in our region. It is these challenges that we are dealing with. involved so that there is peace and stability in our country," Darchiashvili said.

According to him, the agenda of the summit is very busy, one of the main topics of which is the issue of Ukraine.

"Once again, there will be a demonstration of very strong support from the partner countries and the alliance towards Ukraine, which Ukraine needs so much, in order to cope with very difficult challenges. The main message of the summit will be solidarity with Ukraine, there will be talk of ways to help Ukraine," Ilia Darchiashvili noted.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili, is attending the NATO anniversary summit scheduled for July 9-11 in Washington.

In addition, Ilia Darchiashvili will participate in the meeting of foreign ministers scheduled for July 10 in the format of partner countries.

Ilia Darchiashvili will also attend other events planned within the summit and hold bilateral meetings.
