Due to Bidzina Ivanishvili's isolationist policy, the issue of Georgia's membership in NATO has been withdrawn, and the issue of Georgia's membership in the European Union has also been frozen. The only way to return Georgia to the path of Euro-Atlantic integration is to win the elections with unity! I am sure that on October 26, the citizens of Georgia will make their choice on unity, - said Tina Bokuchava, the Chair of the "United National Movement".

According to her, today the representatives of the opposition will meet the US Deputy Secretary of State, Uzra Zeya, who came to Georgia because of the current situation in the country.

"Today we have a very important meeting with the Second Deputy Secretary of State for Democracy and Civil Affairs, who has arrived in Georgia because of the situation created here. The US sees Georgia's democratic backsliding as a threat to Georgia's Euro-Atlantic choices. Also today, the Foreign Relations Committee of the US House of Representatives is considering the "Megobari Act", which, as you know, on the one hand offers Georgia such benefits as visa-free travel, additional defense assistance, enhanced economic and trade relations, but also considers individual sanctions. The discussion of the mentioned issue took place yesterday in the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Congress, and today it is planned to vote on this act.

Also, there is a NATO summit in Washington today, which has been going on for the past few days. The Washington Summit, the preparatory parliamentary assembly for which I was in Sofia, where, unfortunately, Georgia's integration into NATO is no longer discussed. Always, in all the communiqués, in the final documents adopted by the NATO summit, traditionally there was talk of Georgia joining NATO, but today, due to Ivanishvili's isolationist policy, which aims not only at the integration of Georgia into the Euro-Atlantic structures, but also at the international isolation of Georgia, today we see that Georgia has been removed from The issue of joining NATO. We also know that the issue of Georgia's joining the European Union has been frozen, which was openly discussed by the EU ambassador Paweł Herczyński a few days ago," said Tina Bokuchava.

According to Bokuchava, the only solution for Georgia to return to the path of Euro-Atlantic integration is "to win the elections with unity".
