Since the repeal of the "Russian law" is still a noble thing, I wish success to the President, as well as to our colleagues and the Public Defender, if he has such interests, - the leader of Girchi, Iago Khvichia, told journalists, responding to the lawsuit of Salome Zurabishvili filed with the Constitutional Court against the law "On transparency of foreign influence".
According to him, they should have less hope for the Constitutional Court.
"Do we like it or not, the argument of Georgian Dream that "Do you like the Constitutional Court now?" - is relevant, because recently the same Constitutional Court declared the President as a violator of the Constitution. She is filing a lawsuit with the same court. What has changed? Does not the Constitutional Court belong to Georgian Dream any longer? Didn't it declare the President a violator of the Constitution? I have these questions, but since it is still a noble thing to repeal the "Russian law", I wish success to Mrs. President, as well as to our colleagues and the Public Defender, if he has such interests, but I have little faith in the independence of the Constitutional Court”, - said Iago Khvichia.
For information, the lawsuit of President Salome Zurabishvili has already been submitted to the Constitutional Court. The case concerns the "Transparency of foreign influence" law.
