The State Security Service, in cooperation with the General Prosecutor's Office, based on the partnership with the relevant agencies of the United States of America, as a result of a special operation conducted in the city of Batumi, arrested one citizen of the United States of America.

According to the State Security Service, the arrested person is wanted by the appropriate service of the state of Idaho, USA, for committing a particularly serious crime against a minor.

"As a result of the measures requested by the American partners within the framework of international cooperation, the items belonging to the detained person were removed, including electronic information devices, portable computers and various types of special purpose electrical equipment.

"Legal actions will be taken against the detained person in order to extradite him to the USA and hand over the seized material evidence," the information said.
