We are talking about the establishment of relations with Abkhazia, which, it turns out, needs a constitutional change - what changes should be needed to establish relations with Abkhazia? In fact, it probably means confederation - to recognize the independence of Abkhazia, "EuroOptimists" MP Roman Gotsiridze told journalists in connection with the statement issued by "Georgian Dream".

According to his assessment, this statement is the election program of "Georgian Dream", which can be called the announced program of treason.

As Gotsiridze explained, "Georgian Dream" acts directly on the instructions of Russia, and this statement of theirs is a program to withdraw the country from the West and integrate it into Russia.

"I am sure that this statement is the election program of "Georgian Dream". You can call this a program of declared treason. It is a direct attack on both our Western partners and the opposition in general, which turns out to be managed by America and the European Union. Even Lukashenko does not speak with such a text today. Moreover, in order to destroy the opposition and then to achieve their goals, they need to win with a constitutional majority in the form of constitutional amendments. All the details of why "Georgian Dream" needs a constitutional majority can also be characterized as betrayal of the country. For example, it turns out that we are talking about establishing relations with Abkhazia, which needs a constitutional change. What changes should be needed to establish relations with Abkhazia? In fact, it probably means confederation - to recognize the independence of Abkhazia. It turns out that two independent states can be constitutionally united in a confederal unit, from which separation is elementary - we know the content of the confederation. As it turns out, they need a constitutional majority for other decisions as well. It is probably implied, but they do not yet say that the articles that guarantee our people integration into the European Union and NATO should be removed from the Constitution. "Georgian Dream" operates directly under the instructions of Russia. This statement of theirs is a program to withdraw the country from the West and integrate it into Russia. This government has already become extremely dangerous and the only way to save the country is to send this treacherous regime to the political deadlock through elections," said Gotsiridze.

For information, the Political Council of "Georgian Dream" publishes an extensive statement, which talks about the main points for which the ruling team needs to obtain a constitutional majority in the 2024 parliamentary elections.

The statement mentions that "upon obtaining the constitutional majority, they will initiate a legal process, as a result of which the United National Movement and all its satellite or successor parties will be declared unconstitutional."

In addition, as the ruling party notes, it plans to initiate constitutional changes in relation to several issues, among which is the issue related to territorial arrangement.

As stated in the statement, "in case of restoring the territorial integrity of Georgia in a peaceful way, it will be necessary to amend the Constitution of Georgia in order to bring the system of governance and the territorial state arrangement of Georgia into compliance with the new reality."
