The agreement "On mutual recognition and exchange of national driving licenses between Georgia and the Kingdom of Spain" will enter into force on September 29 of this year.

According to the information of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the official information regarding the details of the agreement and the implementation dates was posted on the official website of the Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Spain.

After the entry into force of the Agreement, holders of a valid driver's license issued by the parties will be able to obtain a driver's license of equal strength in the state of their legal residence without passing a theory or practical test.

The agreement defines the classes of driver's licenses that will be subject to exchange after the agreement enters into force, in particular, the exchange of class AM, A1, A2, A, B, B+E driver's licenses will be possible without passing theoretical or practical tests, while C1, C1+E, C , C+E, D1, D1+E, D and D+E class driver's licenses, applicants will have to pass the driving license test on open roads intended for general traffic, using the vehicle or trailer vehicles, which will be allowed to drive with said licenses.
