"Georgia will never apologize" rally is taking place near the Parliament

A rally called "Georgia will never apologize" is taking place near the Parliament, where citizens are protesting the statement made by the honorary chairman of "Georgian Dream" Bidzina Ivanishvili in Gori.

The participants of the rally say that "they will not apologize to the occupiers and aggressors", because in August 2008, Georgia did not start the war.

A stuffed animal of the honorary chairman of "Georgian Dream" was brought to the rally, which has the flag of "Georgian Dream" on one arm and the flag of the Russian Federation on the other.

"We object to Bidzina Ivanishvili's statement about apologizing to the Ossetians and, of course, if you apologize to the Ossetians, you apologize to the occupying Russia as well. This apology upset us, and especially because it insulted our fallen heroes, veterans, and we saw the reactions of the family members of the fallen heroes, what the statements were. This is a big joke that the oligarch poured out all over Georgia", said one of the organizers of the rally, Zviad Tsetskhladze.

"Did they gather in Rustavi again today? Let's see what they will say there today. Hopefully, the Georgian people will no longer ask us to apologize to our conqueror - the occupying Russia and the separatist Ossetians. In general, I don't want to say anything about Ossetians, I think that as many Ossetians live in Tskhinvali, there are more in Georgia, and we are like brothers, neither they ask for an apology nor we ask anyone. The struggle always has a meaning and will definitely bring results, especially since with all that he did in Gori and what is happening in the last one year, Bidzina is digging his political grave personally and "Georgian Dream". Georgians are not the kind of people to forgive such things. I think that on October 26, the government will be handed over to the opposition in a very peaceful manner", said Nadim Khmaladze, a fighter in Ukraine, who is attending the protest rally.
