Levan Davitashvili: The partnership between Georgia and Kazakhstan will continue in the future - we have many common projects, the implementation of which we will closely cooperate

Kazakhstan is an important partner of Georgia both economically and politically. There are traditionally close, friendly relations between our countries, and it is very important for us that this cooperation will continue in the future - we have many common projects, the implementation of which the two countries will closely cooperate, - First Vice Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili said about this.
The Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili positively evaluates the results of his visit to Kazakhstan and talks about more potential for cooperation between the countries.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, the visit of the Georgian delegation to the Republic of Kazakhstan under the leadership of the First Vice Prime Minister took place on September 19-20. Within the framework of the visit, Levan Davitashvili held meetings with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov and the Minister of Transport Marat Karabaev. The 12th session of the joint intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan was held in Astana today under the co-chairmanship of the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili and the Minister of Transport of Kazakhstan Marat Karabaev. Priority directions of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed at the meeting - trade, investments, tourism, energy, transport and logistics, industry, information technologies and innovations, including the issue of the development of a digital corridor between Europe and Asia.
According to Levan Davitashvili, one of the important topics discussed between the parties within the intergovernmental commission was issues of deepening cooperation in Trans-Caspian transport-logistics projects, including the development process of the "Middle Corridor".
"We agreed on closer cooperation aimed at the development of the "Middle Corridor". Both countries have a strategic location and we can, through joint cooperation, attract more cargo to the corridor, which will be very important for our economies. The investments made from Kazakhstan to Georgia and vice versa from Georgia to Kazakhstan are also very important. Among them, we talked about investments in the field of energy, sharing of experience, how trade and investment relations between Georgia and Kazakhstan can be more effective, as well as cooperation in the field of technology. In fact, we have covered all aspects of economic cooperation", said the First Vice Prime Minister.
According to Levan Davitashvili, an agreement has already been reached with the Kazakh side to hold a business forum in Georgia next year, as a result of which trade and economic relations between the two countries will be further strengthened and developed.
