According to Vaso Urushadze, secretary of anti-corruption issues of the Unity-National Movement, after the "Unity-National Movement" comes to power, they will definitely build an underground gas storage, which will be an investment of 750 million and will create 5000 jobs.
"Under Ivanishvili's government, which promised to halve utility bills, the commercial tariff increased by 54 tetris, we are talking about natural gas. Now we are in Vaziani, where an underground gas storage facility was to be built, which would allow us to lower the price of natural gas for both commercial and legal entities. For 10 years, Ivanishvili's government has been promising to build an underground gas storage facility, but today, in 2024, we are in a spinning field. It should be noted that 750 million GEL, which was allocated by the donor organizations of our partner countries, was squandered and corruptly appropriated by the Ivanishvili clan. This is the amount that would create up to 5,000 jobs, contribute to the development of the country's economy, people would no longer have to emigrate, they would be with their family members and have a decent income," Urushadze said.
According to him, the Ivanishvili clan is destroying the prospects of Georgia, the opportunities for the development of the Georgian economy. According to Urushadze, Georgia is the only country in the region that does not have a gas storage facility. The gas storage, which would provide reservoirs of about 300 thousand cubic meters, would give us the opportunity to collect natural gas during the summer and deliver it to our population in the winter. In addition to the fact that it would lower tariffs, it would provide Georgia with energy independence and energy security, which is one of the most important challenges in the world today, although Ivanishvili's government and his mafia clan are only interested in personal benefits: they care about what they can take home, and they don't care about the citizens of Georgia. After the "Unity National Movement" comes to power, we will definitely build an underground gas storage, which will be an investment of 750 million, will create 5.000 jobs, we will have a constant supply, we will also ensure a reduction in the natural gas tariff, both for commercial and legal entities. This, in turn, will contribute to the development of business and the private sector, which to a large extent depends on the value of utility bills," said Vaso Urushadze, secretary of anti-corruption issues of the Unity-National Movement.
