"Center for Social Justice" on the statement of Chiatura Management Company: the way in which civil organizations are referred to in this statement is unacceptable

"Social Justice Center" responds to Chiatura Management Company's accusations regarding the protest action of Shukruti village residents.
As they mentioned while talking to "Interpressnews", the fact that civil organizations are referred to as radical groups is unacceptable for them. In addition, they explain that human rights are seriously violated in Shukruti, be it housing or environmental rights, therefore, working in this direction is their mission.
"It is unacceptable how civil organizations are referred to in this statement as if they are a radical group that acts with political goals. This rhetoric is very similar to the rhetoric of the government, when the Russian law referred to civil organizations as political groups. We work to protect people's rights. You know, human rights are seriously violated in Shukruti, be it housing, environmental rights or others. It is our mission to work in this direction. In its statement, the company itself does not deny that there are people in Shukruti who have not received at least full compensation. It is difficult for us to enter this accounting, for years the company signed contracts and memoranda. We call on the government to get involved and record one by one if anyone has received anything and how much they are completely satisfied.
It is clear to us that the slum dwellers, whose houses were destroyed, are not fully and adequately compensated, these people have been starving for more than 20 days. It is the company's responsibility to at least legally speak to these people. We are offered a meeting, and yes sir, we are ready to meet together with the locals, as well as with the state agencies that are responsible for the regulation of mining and extraction", said Salome Shubladze.
For information, Chiatura Management Company has responded with a statement to the ongoing protest by the residents of Chiaturi village Shukruti near the Parliament of Georgia. As noted in the CMC company, "the radical group of people, which is leading the destructive process in the village of Shukruti, as well as holding an action near the parliament building, is fully managed by the so-called civil sector."
