The Parliament of Georgia is awaiting the submission of the 2025 state budget proposal from the government. In accordance with legal requirements, the financial document and its accompanying materials must be presented to the legislative body no later than October 1.
A session of the Parliament's Bureau has been scheduled to begin on October 1 at 12:00, where they will determine the schedule for reviewing the proposed budget. Following this, the draft budget will be distributed to parliamentary committees, factions, and political groups for evaluation, with a two-week deadline for consideration.
By law, the draft budget, along with the feedback from committees, factions, and individual members of Parliament, must be returned to the government no later than October 22. The government is then expected to revise the proposal and resubmit it to Parliament by November 5. The budget process will then move to plenary sessions for further review.
The final version of the budget will be approved by the new Parliament, and the law stipulates that it must be adopted no later than the third Friday of December.
