Giorgi Gakharia responds to Mamuka Mdinaradze: Delusional and entering dangerous territory

Giorgi Gakharia, chairman of the "Gakharia-For Georgia" party, responded to remarks made by Mamuka Mdinaradze, the executive secretary of "Georgian Dream," describing Mdinaradze's statements as delusional and dangerous. Gakharia noted that the growing hysteria in "Georgian Dream" is a direct indication of the declining support for the ruling party and increasing support for his own party.

"What Mamuka Mdinaradze is delusional about now, remains Mamuka Mdinaradze's delusion – they are entering a very dangerous field," Gakharia said to journalists. He emphasized that Mdinaradze, during his time in office, "couldn’t even come close to the floor where decisions were made," suggesting that Mdinaradze’s influence was minimal.

Gakharia also pointed to former Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili as the real force behind the statements and actions of the "Georgian Dream." He criticized Ivanishvili for damaging the country's sovereignty and non-recognition policy, and accused him of prioritizing financial interests over national security. Gakharia highlighted Ivanishvili's role in orchestrating the current political situation, describing it as a betrayal of Georgia’s national interests.

"They are entering a very dangerous field, and I'll tell you why—I'm already starting to think about whether the time has come, after the elections, to create a parliamentary commission that will deal with all the issues they listed," Gakharia added, indicating that he is considering the formation of a parliamentary inquiry to investigate the matters raised by the ruling party. He suggested that the commission would reveal much more after the elections.

This comes after Mamuka Mdinaradze accused Gakharia of being no different from ordinary members of a "collective agency" and suggested that Gakharia received orders from "common owners." Mdinaradze also questioned Gakharia's rise from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to Prime Minister, implying that it was a tribute to his "owners."
