It is sad that the German Bundestag, which has always been a highly respected institution for me, was involved in the election processes in Georgia today - this is a continuation of what we saw in the form of a resolution of the European Parliament, - said the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze. He responded to the resolution on the issue - support for "European future of Georgia".
According to the head of the government, this is "an attempt to interfere externally in the election processes".
"I think that this is a continuation of what we saw in the form of a resolution of the European Parliament. For us, every unjust resolution statement has a straw price, it must be said very clearly. This is an attempt to interfere in the election process, but it will have no effect. It is a pity in itself that the German Bundestag, which has always been a highly respected institution for me, was involved in the election processes in Georgia today. It's just not right. However, I will say once again that such acts cannot have any influence on the results of the elections in Georgia. "Georgian society is experienced enough to make its own decision," said the Prime Minister.
For information, the German Bundestag supported the resolution on the issue of Georgia - "For the European future of Georgia". As mentioned in the resolution, the authoritarian and anti-European course, which the current government of Georgia has taken, deliberately puts the European future of Georgia at risk. The document mentions that under the so-called "transparency of foreign influence" law, there will be no further progress in the process of joining the European Union. The role of the honorary chairman of "Georgian Dream" is emphasized here, and it is said that the goal of maintaining ivanishvili" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bidzina Ivanishvili's power is higher than Georgia's European future and democratic stability.
