Archil Gorduladze: opposition party channels block "Georgian Dream" election clips without any legal arguments, thus creating a discriminatory and unequal media environment in the pre-election period

"Georgian Dream" MP, Archil Gorduladze, held a briefing regarding the OSCE/ODIHR interim report and noted that according to the report, the media environment is diverse but polarized.

According to Gorduladze, the opposition channels deliberately block the election clips of "Georgian Dream", thus they violate the legislation and create an unequal media environment in the pre-election period.

"The interim report mentions that the media environment in Georgia is diverse but polarized. As you know, the opposition party channels deliberately block the election clips of "Georgian Dream" without any legal arguments, thus these channels violate Georgian legislation and create a discriminatory and unequal media environment during the pre-election period, as a result, "Georgian Dream" has already spent more than 5 hours of advertising time. We have given detailed information about this to Odiri's monitoring mission, which unfortunately was not evaluated in the interim report, but we hope that it will be properly mentioned and evaluated in the next report," said Archil Gorduladze.
