The Ministry of Justice sees signs of violation of the legislation in Salome Zurabishvili's statement regarding the "opening of the election headquarters in the presidential administration", which is why it summons her representative to the meeting of the interdepartmental commission

Due to the statement made by the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, the Ministry of Justice demands an explanation from the administration, which is why it summons the representative of the first person of the country to the meeting of the inter-departmental commission.

As the Minister of Justice Rati Bregadze told the journalists, the commission held its session today, however, the president's representative did not appear at the session, which is why another letter will be sent to the administration of the first person of the country with the request to attend the next session.

As for the reason for summoning the commission to the session, as Bregadze noted after the session of the interdepartmental commission, the presidential administration should clarify the statement made by Salome Zurabishvili regarding the creation of the election headquarters in the building of the presidential administration on the election day. The Minister of Justice thinks that the mentioned initiative of Salome Zurabishvili may contain signs of violation of the election legislation.

"We sent information to the President of Georgia regarding his statement, which may contain signs of violation of the election legislation, and in this regard we asked the representative of the administration to come, however today the representative of the administration of the President of Georgia did not attend the commission session, which is very sad. However, a written explanation was made by them, which was not accepted by the commission, and we agreed that we will send a letter to the administration of the president of Georgia once again and call for a representative of the administration of the President to appear at the next session of the commission and make a statement regarding the words of the president in which he notes that "On election day, they should celebrate the victory together in the administration of the president." This statement may contain a violation of the election legislation", said the Minister of Justice.
