The OSCE/ODIHR interim report confirmed what the public already sees, not only the public, we, our activists, the population and even within the party, everyone notes this, and I believe that the opposition is also talking about it, that there is an unusually calm environment, everyone has the opportunity to hold elections. The campaign is a violence-free environment, if anything, there are isolated excesses and that is exactly what OSCE/ODIHR says in its interim report, - said the Chairman of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.
According to him, the OSCE/ODIHR report was a disappointment for the opposition, which is preparing for riots, therefore, from the second day of the report's release, an information storm began to form the desired perceptions of international observers.
"We saw as soon as this report came out and there was some frustration for the opposition, which is actually preparing for riots, a massive information storm started from the next day to create information noise for the perceptions that they want to create for international observers. The very next day, on the air of "TV Pirveli", the television belonging to Khazaradze aired a story, as if related to identity cards or the collection of personal information, and this was followed by the statements of NGOs related to the opposition parties, which in turn rely on the report of this television, where no last name, name, fact, The evidence - nothing has been named at all and it is given based on allegedly anonymous sources", said the Chairman of the Parliament.
According to him, the election "attempt to paint the environment in dark colors" was also a lie spread by Salome Zurabishvili, as if the collection of personal information in schools is done for election purposes, which was exposed by the Ministry of Education in a few minutes.
"This was followed by the status of the president, which was an absolute lie, and within a few minutes it was denied and exposed by the Ministry of Education. When it's framed by a person who holds the position of president spreading lies about schools - about a topic that involves children, schools, and for that matter, confusing children and schools - it crosses all moral lines. Therefore, we see that there is an attempt to somehow paint the environment in dark colors so that maybe it will be noted in the reports. That's why I dedicated a special briefing to this topic, and these days we will have a very quick response to every such attempt", said Shalva Papuashvili in Ajara Public Broadcaster's program "Free Space".
