Nino Lomjaria, founder of "European Orbit of Georgia," shared details about the highly anticipated "Georgia Chooses the European Union" march in Tbilisi. Representatives from various fields are set to speak, and the President of Georgia is likely to address the crowd at Freedom Square.
According to Nino Lomjaria, representatives from different sectors, including academia, civil society, media, and healthcare, will address the participants of the march, which is scheduled to begin at 19:00. Lomjaria mentioned the high likelihood of President Salome Zurabishvili delivering a speech during the event. Stages will be set up at Freedom Square, where the final program of the march will take place.
"Speakers will be representatives of various public groups, namely - academic circles, civil society, media, medical sector. There will be a diverse representation. The coalition 'My Vote for the European Union' will start from Republic Square... we will be met by a stage at Freedom Square, where the relevant program will begin."
Lomjaria expressed optimism that President Zurabishvili would join and address the crowd, reinforcing the importance of the march as a peaceful demonstration of Georgia's European aspirations. The march will start at 17:00 from five locations and culminate in a gathering at Freedom Square.
"We are also waiting for the president, as he said, he will come to the march. I hope it will be so."
