The Russian side is ready to discuss possible proposals regarding the expansion of contacts with the representatives of the Georgian authorities, - said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov.

"We do not have diplomatic relations now, because the previous leadership of Georgia terminated diplomatic relations, but we and the Georgian side have representations on each other's territory in the form of the interests section of the Swiss embassy," Lavrov said.

According to him, Russian diplomats will, of course, discuss the issues with the representatives of the Georgian authorities.

"If there are any additional proposals from our Georgian neighbors regarding contacts, we will certainly consider them, we will never avoid contacts," Lavrov said.
