"The employees of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, arrested two persons: R.I. born in 1984 and I.I. born in 1990.

The investigation established that during the elections of the Parliament of Georgia on October 26, 2024, at the polling station No. 69 of the village of Saddhuli, Marneuli municipality, the defendants placed ballot papers in the box in violation of the law.

Due to the mentioned fact, according to the decree of the Marneuli District Election Commission, the voting was stopped at the election precinct #69 and the results of the voting were declared invalid.

As a result of the conducted investigative actions, the lawyers R.I. and i.e. He was arrested as an accused.

The crime is punishable by up to 2 years of imprisonment.
