If Roth is in favor of suspending visa liberalization, then we are “dead” and that's it - Roth and similar elements are in the past, yesterday was his farewell evening, - this is how the mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, responded to the interview of the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the German parliament (Bundestag), Michael Roth with TV company "PalitraNews", where he (Roth) said that he was categorically against the statement made in the interview to suspend the visa-free travel, but the position has changed.
According to Kaladze, we saw dirty statements.
"If Roth is in favor of suspending visa liberalization, then we are dead... elements like Roth are gone, yesterday was his farewell evening. We have seen all this, dirty announcements of action for a few years. He was a politician. Can you imagine, if they were to do something like this in another European country, they would be banned and thrown out of the country. It's great that the Georgian people stood where the people of this world needed. "He feels the Georgian people's enthusiasm, challenge and danger," Kaladze said.
For information, the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the German Parliament (Bundestag) Michael Roth stated in an interview with the TV company "PalitraNews" that he was categorically against suspending the visa-free travel for Georgia, but his position has changed. According to him, the government of Georgia should pay the price. As Roth notes, Georgia cannot live in two worlds.
"I was categorically against suspending the visa-free travel, but I changed my position - this is the most important tool to send a clear message to Tbilisi to stop anti-democratic policy!" - said Roth.
