What we see is the reaction of the perpetrator, how the guilty CEC and the guilty government defend themselves, - one of the leaders of the "Strong Georgia" coalition, Ana Natsvlishvili, told "InterpressNews" at the ongoing rally at the CEC.
According to her explanation, the Central Election Commission does not give the right to the participants of the rally to file an application individually and demand re-election.
"They know very well that these elections were hijacked. Like all criminals, they fear the truth and the people who witness the crimes. That's how they got scared when they saw us civilians, women coming here. The entire courtyard of the CEC is filled with security forces.
We demand the appointment of new elections. Even submitting an application to the CEC scares you when you see a small group of citizens united by one idea and national goal. That is why unity and non-conformity are important. They were afraid of the statements to register with the CEC", said Natsvlishvili.
She also called on the law enforcement officers not to violate the law and to give the participants of the rally an opportunity to file a statement.
Recently, there was noise and controversy with the Central Election Commission. The situation became tense after the participants of the rally tried to submit a statement to the CEC. According to the participants of the rally, they even closed the gate. The attempt to open it was followed by a confrontation between the law enforcement officers and the participants of the rally. The police are mobilized near the CEC building.
