This is just the beginning, there will be many other forms of this struggle, - one of the leaders of "Coalition for Change", Elene Khoshtaria, said on Chavchavadze Avenue, where tents are spread and a 24-hour protest is planned.
As Khoshtaria mentioned while talking to "InterpressNews", a very important process has started in Georgia.
"We have been saying from the first day that when the government organizes a coup d'état, it is our obligation to fight, including fighting on the streets. Let's fight in ways that are unexpected for the "Georgian Dream" and that will bring results.
Yesterday, we announced an active resistance movement, this is a very important place - the city center. This is just the beginning, there will be many more forms of this battle. We have a lot of international support, but this support is based on the people's struggle. Today was the first night we spent the night together and stood together. There are too many people left and there will be protests in various forms in the following days as well," said Khoshtaria.
Khoshtaria also answered a question at a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council, saying that we can be proud of being supported by our partners, but "our main drive should be to regain free will."
"I think that the main charge for Georgian citizens is when they are deprived of their free will. The rest is a plus, we can be very proud that we are supported by our partners and we are called the capital of Europe and so on. But our main drive should be to reclaim free will. The support of our partners and all the resolutions and critical statements that come from the West are built on this," said Khoshtaria.
