The radical opposition is inconsistent in its usual style - people were told to elect us to enter the parliament and then they entered the tent - this is how the majority deputy Guram Macharashvili responded to the protest action that started on Chavchavadze Avenue in Tbilisi.
According to Macharashvili, the actions have no prospects, because "the opposition voters also saw that these people are not doing anything either in the parliament or on the street".
As Macharashvili noted, "the opposition can only blacken its own country abroad".
"The tent rally cannot be legitimized because we saw that there were more tents than people entering the tents. Therefore, when the same person enters several tents, it is a "carousel" and who are they fooling?! - The tent rally will not have legitimacy. They announced a 24-hour strike because it seems they get tired after 24 hours," said Guram Macharashvili.
On November 17, at around 20:00, Chavchavadze avenue was blocked by the call of the leader of the coalition, Nika Gvaramia. They were joined by students of various universities and other participants of the ongoing protest near the Parliament.
The participants of the rally spent the night on Chavchavadze Avenue.
