Salome Zurabishvili is the only legitimate institution in this country, which reflects the constitution, people's interest and our European agenda, - one of the leaders of "Coalition for Change", Elene Khoshtaria, told journalists after meeting with President Salome Zurabishvili in the Orbelian Palace.
As she mentioned, the main topic of the conversation with the president was the current political situation in the country and the non-recognition of the elections.
"The president plays an important role both inside and outside the country. All the resolutions that are passed and the non-recognition of elections are very important. I wanted to talk about political processes in general, it was an exchange of ideas, a consultation. We have nothing special planned. We discussed in all directions, which is our strategic task, it is non-recognition, delegitimization of this government, which is happening now. No political party will recognize this parliament", said Khoshtaria.
According to her, they also discussed the resistance movement at the meeting with the president.
As for the future plans of the President after the end of her term of office, Elene Khoshtaria states that Salome Zurabishvili herself will speak about it when she considers it necessary.
"We did not talk about the role of the president and what she is going to do. The fact is, today it is the only legitimate institution and the leader of the European agenda of this country. I believe that Salome Zurabishvili has a historical role and mission both now and in general throughout this crisis, both in the integration of the society within the country and outside the country as well," said Khoshtaria.
In addition, according to Khoshtaria, the resolution adopted by the European Parliament is very important, where it talks about the support of the Georgian people and the sanctioning of the leaders of "Georgian Dream".
