Mamuka Mdinaradze: Our statement, from the point of view of the future plan, includes 4 main points - which of these is the rejection of Europe, specifically which point they object to, they will tell us, we would answer

Our statement, based on the future plan, includes 4 main points, - the leader of the majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, published a post about this on the social network.

On his Facebook page, Mdinaradze listed the points that will prepare the country for joining the European Union.

"Our statement, from the point of view of the future plan, includes 4 main points:

We continue to meticulously fulfill our obligations under the association agreement, and by 2028 we will have fulfilled more than 90%.

By 2030, Georgia will be the most ready for EU membership among the candidate countries.

Until 2028, the issue of opening negotiations will not be put on the agenda from our side, so that it is not a mechanism of constant blackmail from someone, and we can calmly carry out relevant reforms and develop the country.

For the same reason, we refuse financing with budgetary grants from the European Union, and the state will take these costs on itself.

"Which of these is a rejection of Europe, and which specific point are they objecting to, they still tell us, we would have answered something specific," Mdinaradze's post reads.

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, announced at a briefing after the meeting of the parliamentary majority and the government team that Georgia will not put the issue of opening negotiations with the European Union on the agenda until the end of 2028. According to the Prime Minister, Georgia also refuses any budget grant from the European Union until the end of 2028.
