NATO Secretary General: I call on the Government of Georgia to do everything to promote peace and stability - reports of violence are deeply disturbing and I condemn it

The reports of violence are deeply disturbing and I unequivocally condemn it. I call on the Georgian government to do everything to promote peace and stability, and I think this is in the interest of all Georgians, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said when he answered a question about the current processes in Georgia.

According to him, NATO is an alliance based on democracy, values, respect for freedom and democracy.

"I firmly believe that these values are the foundation of our collective peace and prosperity. What I see at the moment is that all allies are clearly stating that any action that undermines democracy in Georgia, or the advancement of democracy and the country's integration into NATO and the European Union, will be avoided. They call on the government of Georgia to stay on the path it set a few years ago," said Mark Rutte.
