Tina Khidasheli: I am not representing anyone in the debates, I am representing myself - I am protesting against people who now call themselves the government and are playing housemaid

I am not going to prove anything to Kobakhidze, I do not have this task, my task is very simple, on the one hand, to tell him personally, to his face, everything that is being said today by people who think differently, and on the other hand, the viewers of the Public Broadcaster will once again be given the opportunity to hear the facts about the lies, - said former Minister of Defense Tina Khidasheli.

According to Khidasheli, her target is the viewers of the Public Broadcaster.

“I will not represent anyone at tomorrow's debates, I will represent myself. I do not know what format the broadcast will be, no one from the Public Broadcaster has contacted me so far. These will be debates between four former high-ranking officials - the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, the former Prime Minister, the former Chairman of the Parliament and the former Minister of Defense. I am the person who is in protest, has a different position and is opposed to the government that we had before October 27 and to those people who now call themselves the government and are playing the role of a housemaid.

As of this moment, I have the feeling that we have already won the first round against them and with this in mind we are going tomorrow, if, of course, they officially invite us to the public broadcaster.

There are two sources of legitimacy for this government - the Georgian people, from whom they have no legitimacy and international recognition, and they do not have international recognition either. Debating with them does not mean legitimizing them, a debate is an opportunity to expose people in front of an audience that, unfortunately, often does not have the opportunity to hear a different opinion.

In itself, the fact that the Public Broadcaster has been issuing statements for two days that it will devote one hour to the public every day on the Public Broadcaster, I think, says a lot to the audience that watches this television.

I am not going to prove anything to Kobakhidze, I do not have this task, my task is very simple, on the one hand, to personally tell him everything that is being said today by people who think differently, have different opinions and attitudes, and on the other hand, once again, the viewers of the Public Broadcaster will be given the opportunity to hear the facts about the lies that these people are telling this audience. My addressee is the viewers of the Public Broadcaster,” Tina Khidasheli said on TV Pirveli.

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, together with Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili, is proposing that the Public Broadcaster dedicate airtime to a public discussion on December 4. Kobakhidze is inviting people who are protesting the statement made by the Georgian Dream on November 28 to the discussion. According to him, former ministers Mikheil (Papuna) Janelidze and Tinatin Khidasheli have already expressed their desire to participate in the discussion. Former Georgian Foreign Minister Janelidze wrote on social media that he "accepts holding the aforementioned discussion on the Public Broadcaster." Later, Georgian Public Broadcaster announced that it is ready to organize such a discussion and invites its participants on December 4 at 22:00.
