Irakli Kobakhidze: Mikheil Janelidze and Tina Khidasheli are two average "nationals" - their refusal to engage in public discussion means that the truth is on our side and they are afraid of discussion

These two people [Mikheil Janelidze and Tina Khidasheli] are two average arithmetical "nationals" - their refusal to have a public discussion means that the truth is on our side and they are afraid of any public discussion precisely because of this, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said at a press conference.

As Kobakhidze noted, the "radical opposition" knows exactly that it has nothing to say about anything.

"As you know, a debate on the air of the public broadcaster, a public discussion regarding the current events and our decision was planned today, however, as it became known, both Papuna Janelidze and Tina Khidasheli refused to participate in the public discussion.

These two people are the two arithmetic mean "nationals". Therefore, a discussion with them would allow the public to generalize and establish the truth. Their refusal to engage in public discussion means only one thing - the truth is on our side, and they fear any public discussion precisely because of that. "The radical opposition knows exactly that they have nothing to say about anything, including our decision," Kobakhidze said.

In addition, according to the Prime Minister, Janelidze and Khidasheli had planned in advance not to attend the public discussion.

"You could see that there was liberal-fascist bullying on these two people, although I think that this bullying was also clearly arranged. They also clearly refrained from public discussion, they actually agreed to the discussion with the understanding that in the end, this format would not take place. First they rejected the format we offered. We offered a discussion in the format of up to 12 people, then they refused to come to the government administration. They were constantly looking for excuses not to participate in this discussion. In the end, we left nothing to chance, we agreed to all their offers. We agreed on the format 2/2. We agreed to a discussion in the space of the Public Broadcaster, however, when there was nothing left, they also refused, which means that they actually planned not to come to this public discussion. When we left them nothing, then they refused because of that. This public discussion would completely destroy the lies on which the propaganda of the collective "national movement", the radical opposition, stands. You will recall that we made exactly the same offer to these people with the "Transparency Act". At that time, we invited any group, including youth, politicians or anyone else, to come to us and hold a public discussion on the "Transparency Law". Even then, we refused this offer. Here too, based on the fact that they know exactly where the truth is, they refused once again, it says everything. Of course, after this public discussion, the foundation of their propaganda would disappear. This is the reason for refusal", said Irakli Kobakhidze.

For information, former Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikheil Janelidze and former Minister of Defense Tina Khidasheli initially agreed to Irakli Kobakhidze's offer to the public at a public discussion, but today, both of them released a statement on social networks and refused to participate in the discussion. According to Janelidze, the reason for his decision is the public's negative reaction to the debate. Khidasheli said that there will be no debate after Janelidze's message. The debate was to be held today at 22:00 on the air of the public broadcaster "First Channel", in which Shalva Papuashvili would take part together with Irakli Kobakhidze.
