The so-called finance minister of occupied Abkhazia: Abkhazia does not have the money to pay compensation to employees on budget funding

Abkhazia does not have the money to pay salaries to the employees on budget financing, including the military, - according to the media, the so-called Acting Minister of Finance, Vladimir Delba, stated this at a meeting with the so-called Acting President, Badra Gunba.
"Until today, not a single employee of the public sector has received a salary from the budget of the Republic. First of all, of course, I focus on the force structure, law enforcement agencies. Today, they are without funding both in terms of salary and, of course, other mandatory expenses," Gunba said.
According to him, all the money from the treasury goes to pay for the electricity received from Russia.
"If we continue to consolidate efforts to find funds to purchase electricity, then perhaps we should boldly say that we will not pay salaries," said Delba.
As a reminder, since September 1, Russia has suspended social financing within the framework of financial and economic assistance to Abkhazia, which was used for additional payments to teachers, doctors and representatives of the security forces. Also, during the autumn-winter energy shortage, Russia started supplying electricity to the occupied Abkhazia at commercial costs. Moscow made these decisions after Abkhazia's so-called "Obligations assumed within the framework of the harmonization of the legislation of Russia and Abkhazia" were not fulfilled.
