"Transparency International - Georgia" has been publishing information about the protesters arrested at the rallies since November 28.
According to the non-governmental organization, up to now about 400 people have been arrested, more than 350 of them under the administrative rule, and 26 under the criminal law rule.
According to "Transparency International-Georgia", more than 300 people became victims of torture and inhumane treatment.
"The age of the detainees is from 15 to 60 years old. Women and children were arrested along with men. 7 foreigners are among those arrested. Judges apply strict sanctions: a fine of 2000-3000 GEL or imprisonment from 4 to 14 days. More than 80 detainees needed hospital treatment. The location of the detainees is unknown to the lawyers for hours. Judges make decisions based on the testimony of policemen and do not take into account the evidence of lawyers. Not a single victim of beating or torture has applied to the judge for a special investigation service. Judges do not allow detainees to tell about beatings and torture. The judges say that this does not concern them", the information states.
According to "Transparency International-Georgia", no police officer has been punished so far.
