Cameramen and journalists participating in the protest in support of the media have arrived at the Parliament of Georgia.
The protest participants symbolically placed photos of people who were injured during the protests in the country on the Christmas tree, which is currently being installed.
At the same time, they called on each other not to damage the Christmas tree.
The protest participants chanted: “No to Russian violence”, “Solidarity to the media”, “Freedom to the media”.
The protest participants express their support for those media representatives who have been attacked while performing their professional duties.
As a reminder, yesterday, “TV Pirveli” cameraman Giorgi Shetsiruli and journalist Maka Chikhladze were attacked by masked individuals while performing their official duties.
Both of them have concussions. The Special Investigation Service has launched an investigation under Article 154, Part 2, of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which provides for unlawful interference with a journalist's professional activities.
Following this, media solidarity rallies were planned in Tbilisi and several cities.
