The Special Investigation Service issues a statement regarding the attack on the employees of "TV Pirveli".

As mentioned in the statement of the investigative service, the video camera recordings were removed, detailed study and analysis of which has already started. Also, video recordings from other private and public facilities are being requested and studied.

According to the agency, the personal and residential houses of one of those persons, who are reported to be potential perpetrators of the crime, were searched. Also, another person who may have participated in the crime was summoned for questioning.

According to their reports, a medical examination has been appointed to assess the health condition of the injured journalist and cameraman.

"The Special Investigation Service is conducting an investigation into the attack on the employees of TV Pirveli on December 7, 2024, on Griboedov Street, Tbilisi, under the second part of Article 154 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

Upon receiving the notification, the service immediately carried out appropriate investigative actions on the case: in order to identify the persons participating in the attack on the journalist and the cameraman and their accomplices, as well as to determine the route of their movement immediately before and after the commission of the crime, the site of the incident and the surrounding area were inspected, as a result of which the conservatory, which was seized in an urgent manner, and surveillance video camera recordings of 5 private facilities, detailed study and analysis of which has already begun. Video recordings from other private and public facilities are also being requested and studied.

On December 8, 2024, in connection with the information about the possible perpetrators of the crime on the TV air of one of the TV companies, G. L.'s personal and residential house was searched, as a result of which his mobile phone was seized and the information contained in it was examined. In order to restore the information stored in the memory of the mobile phone, a computer examination was appointed at the National Bureau of Forensic Examination of L.Samkharauli. Regarding the circumstances of the case, G. was interviewed. L. and a member of his family.

Also, L.T., whose possible presence at the scene of the accident was reported in the media, was summoned for questioning in the investigative body.

The process of requesting information from mobile operators is underway to study the movement of telephone towers and persons of interest to the investigation.
