I objected to the unacceptable handshake between the EU ambassador and the de facto foreign minister, - this is how the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, responds to the information spread on the social network by the EU representative in Georgia about the meeting of the EU ambassador and the ambassadors of the EU member states with the Georgian president.

"What is not mentioned is that I started (the meeting) with a strong protest over the unacceptable handshake between the EU ambassador and the de facto foreign minister. My praise cannot compensate for this!", - wrote the President of Georgia.

Let us remind you that the President of Georgia met yesterday with the Ambassador of the European Union and the ambassadors of the member states of the European Union in Georgia.

"Today, the ambassador of the European Union received President Salome Zurabishvili and all the ambassadors of the member states of the European Union. His [Zurabishvili's] work in protecting Georgia's democratic and European aspirations is critically important. The European Union will discuss additional measures next week at the European Union Council meetings in Brussels," wrote the EU representation in Georgia on Platform X.
