The march of environmentalists joined the participants of the rally in front of the Parliament

Environmental activists joined the rally participants on Rustaveli Avenue, in front of the Parliament.

The citizens gathered in front of the Parliament welcomed their arrival with applause.

The environmentalists gathered at Republic Square and held a procession along Rustaveli Avenue.

They are carrying banners with various messages, as well as flags of Georgia and the European Union. They are also chanting "Georgia."

For the record, the citizens gathered in front of the legislative body are protesting the ongoing presidential elections in Parliament.

They are carrying diplomas and balls.

As the protesters state, the ongoing presidential elections in the Parliament of Georgia are an illegitimate process.

Additionally, throughout the day, several processions of representatives from various sectors are planned to head towards the Parliament building.

In parallel with the protest, police forces are being mobilized around the Parliament area. Criminal and patrol police officers are present on 9 April and Chichinadze streets as well.

Furthermore, Ministry of Internal Affairs personnel are stationed in the area surrounded by iron barriers in front of the Parliament, where the main New Year's tree of the capital is located.

The police forces are also deployed at Freedom Square, where water cannon vehicles are stationed.
