The Georgian people demonstrate their undeniable commitment to democratic values and a European future. The European Union will not abandon them, stated Dubravka Šuica, Vice President of the European Commission for Democracy and Demography, during debates in the European Parliament regarding Georgia, where she spoke on behalf of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.

“We will strengthen our support for civil society and independent media so that they can continue their work during this critical period. We will further improve communication. What we are doing today from this panel is sending a message. We must send a strong message of support and the EU’s unwavering commitment to the Georgian people, while also underlining to Georgian Dream the cost of their actions,” noted Dubravka Šuica.
