The third President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, positively assessed the speech of President Salome Zurabishvili in the European Parliament.
According to him, it was a necessary speech at an extremely necessary time.
“I positively assess President Zurabishvili’s speech today in the European Parliament.
From the very beginning, I was in favor of inviting her, it was a necessary speech at an extremely necessary time.
I also cannot but note that she emphasized that the Georgian state had previously chosen a pro-Western course.
It is well known that this course was fully outlined and formed precisely after the Rose Revolution, and the most vivid expression of this course was Georgia in 2003-2012, although I am sure that Georgia has the main successes on this path ahead, after the defeat of the dictatorship,” Mikheil Saakashvili notes in a letter posted on his Facebook page.
