Director of Batumelebi points to ill-treatment by police in conversation with Public Defender’s representative

The director of Batumelebi was visited by a representative of the Public Defender, but the lawyer is not allowed to see her, - Batumelebi reports.

According to Batumelebi, Mzia Amaglobeli told the representative of the Public Defender that she had been mistreated after the arrest.

"At the same time, Mzia Amaglobeli told the representative of the Public Defender that when she was released after the first arrest, she found herself in the stampede and she felt pain in her hand because she was being held tightly. In order to free her hand, she shook her hand strongly and unintentionally hit a police officer, who, as it later turned out, was the chief of Batumi police, who immediately arrested Mzia Amaglobeli again. As Mzia Amaglobelia points out, ill-treatment was carried out by the police chief himself," reads the information released by Batumelebi.
