InterPressNews expresses solidarity with the founder of Batumelebi and Netgazeti, Mzia Amaglobeli!

Some Georgian media outlets will stop working for several hours in solidarity with Mzia Amaglobeli.

More specifically, some television stations and online media outlets will stop working from 17:00 to 20:00 in protest of the Batumi City Court’s decision to order Mzia Amaglobeli to pre-trial detention.

During this period, a black background will be displayed on the TV screens and websites of the media outlets involved in the strike, with the inscription: “This is what the country would be like without critical media. Solidarity with Mzia Amaglobeli and all prisoners of the regime! We are on strike!”
