The Sweden-Georgia Parliamentary Friendship Group has decided to immediately sever all contact with the Georgian Parliament, according to Swedish MP Gustav Gottberg, a member of the European Council’s Defense and Parliamentary Assembly Committee, who shared this on the social platform X.­

"The group does not agree with the unconstitutional appointment of the new President and calls for new elections in Georgia. We stand with the Georgian people," wrote the Swedish MP.
