According to the Mayor of the capital, Kakha Kaladze, the award for citizens registered in Tbilisi and aged 100 and over has increased ten times and amounts to 10 thousand GEL.
Kakha Kaladze stated the above at the session of the Tbilisi government.
“The capital’s City Hall used to award a person a thousand laris after turning 100 years old. We have decided that the award will increase tenfold and will be 10 thousand GEL for those who will turn 100 and over. Last year, 57 people received the money. I would like to wish these people, first of all, good health and a long life. To receive the award, a citizen or his/her representatives must apply to the Tbilisi City Hall’s Health and Social Service with an application. The application must be accompanied by an identity card of a citizen who has reached the age of 100 and an information card issued by the Civil Registry confirming continuous registration in Tbilisi for the past year. Those elderly people who have already benefited from the aforementioned program before 2025 will no longer have to submit an application,” said Kakha Kaladze.
