Joe Wilson: Ivanishvili's brutal regime attacked Georgia's legitimate President, Salome Zurabishvili, and former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia—Enough! Georgia is descending into a nightmare dictatorship

Ivanishvili's brutal regime has attacked Georgia's legitimate President, Salome Zurabishvili, and former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia. Enough! Georgia is sliding into a nightmare dictatorship, fully aligned with America's adversaries, U.S. Congressman Joe Wilson wrote on social platform X.

"We need immediate sanctions and free and fair elections," Wilson added.

For context, TV Pirveli reported that Georgia’s fifth President, Salome Zurabishvili, was pelted with eggs at the airport.

Yesterday, the "Gakharia for Georgia" party released a statement claiming that upon returning from the Munich Conference, Giorgi Gakharia and Elguja Khokrishvili were confronted at the airport by a "special group" allegedly organized by Ivanishvili, while the police stood by passively, allowing the incident to unfold. The party stated that there was verbal abuse, and later, footage emerged showing eggs being thrown at Giorgi Gakharia.
