Kakha Kaladze: Throwing eggs or any kind of insult is unacceptable to me, unlike them. There is a law that is becoming even stricter, and all those guilty of treason will have to face responsibility

"Throwing eggs or any kind of insult is unacceptable to me, unlike them. There is a law that is becoming even stricter, and all those guilty of treason will have to face responsibility," said the Secretary General of "Georgian Dream," Kakha Kaladze, responding to media footage showing certain individuals throwing eggs at the 5th President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, and the leader of the "For Georgia" party, Giorgi Gakharia, upon their return from Munich.

According to Kaladze, they have specific evidence regarding "how crimes and treason against the country were committed."

"Generally, throwing eggs or any kind of insult is unacceptable to me, unlike them, because these people openly encourage violence. I don’t recall hearing any of them condemn violence or insults, even when journalists were being attacked. The person who threw a Molotov cocktail at police officers and was burning people alive was exactly the same woman who pardoned such individuals. There was an entire PR campaign to somehow portray her as a hero. Can you imagine what we were dealing with?

I don't recall any statement from them condemning violence, nor any condemnation of insults or persecution against politicians. For example, when Aleko Elisashvili cowardly approached Mamuka Mdinaradze from behind and hit him, I don’t recall any of them condemning that incident.

Once again, I say, of course, such actions are not acceptable or pleasant to me. There is a law that is becoming even stricter, and all those guilty of treason will have to face responsibility. We have specific evidence regarding how crimes and treason were committed against the country," Kaladze said.

For reference, after targeting Giorgi Gakharia, the leader of the "For Georgia" party, eggs were also thrown at the 5th President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, at Tbilisi International Airport upon her return from Munich.
