Since the Pandora's Box has been opened, we will help ensure that it never closes – questions must be answered: Did Bidzina Ivanishvili pay money to the police after the November 7th crackdown? Did his foundation distribute bonuses to the police officers who attacked us on November 7th, and later went on to attack "Imedi" as well? – This was stated by Levan Gogichashvili, one of the leaders of the political party "For Georgia" in an interview on the "PalitraNews" program, "Day's Newsroom," responding to questions about the National Movement government's activities and the temporary investigative commission studying it.
Gogichashvili believes that "many people who served the 'National Movement' remain unpunished."
"We do not enter Parliament, and therefore we cannot participate in this process in any way. I believe many people remain unpunished, people who served this system. This includes judges, prosecutors, MPs, current deputies from the 'Georgian Dream', the Prime Minister of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Mr. Rizhvadze, and his father, the 'zonder,' who gave people medications. For example, Tsotne Ananidze was sentenced based on his father's false testimony. Also, many members of the Supreme Council of Adjara, municipal council members, mayors, who were part of the previous system, remain unpunished," he stated.
Gogichashvili went on to criticize the commission investigating the elections, naming several figures involved, such as Sharmanishvili (appointed ambassador by Saakashvili in 2011), Aluda Guduashvili (former advocate for the system), and Alexander Tabatadze (a long-time police chief under Vano Merabishvili).
"This commission is investigating elections, but I am curious whether Tea Tsulukiani will summon Kakhi Kakhishvili and ask how the 'National Movement' list was submitted for the 2008 parliamentary elections? We will always comment on these issues, despite the Parliament being illegitimate. The process exists, the media questions arise, and you are asking these questions? We will always answer these questions. We will also ask questions like: How did Saakashvili get more than 55% in Chorvila, where nothing happens without Ivanishvili’s decision? This is a question that needs to be raised in this commission. It's very interesting how Saakashvili won in Chkhorvali, where, literally, not even a fly flies without Ivanishvili’s decision. Since Pandora's Box is open, we will help ensure it never closes. Questions must be answered. Did Bidzina Ivanishvili pay money to the police after the November 7th crackdown? Did his foundation give bonuses to the police who attacked us on November 7th, then went to attack 'Imedi'? Tea Tsulukiani must answer: How did Mikheil Saakashvili get over 55% in the 2008 presidential election in Chkhorvali?" Gogichashvili said.
Regarding the situation in the country, Gogichashvili also commented that he does not rule out the possibility that Ivanishvili has access to the video cameras installed recently near the legislative body.
"When organized police are involved somewhere, Bidzina Ivanishvili controls it operationally. I'll tell you more, I do not rule out that Ivanishvili has access to the video cameras that were installed on Rustaveli. This is my personal assumption, I'm not imposing it on anyone, but knowing his nature and his fascination with these recordings, I know that he makes decisions himself and needs visualization. I don't believe that he just relies on someone bringing him information. He is directly involved in managing these processes from his perspective. I am sure he personally watches who is holding which poster at the rally. There is already a very big system installed. He has the resources for it because the state is disintegrating, and no one controls it," Gogichashvili concluded.
