Salome Zurabishvili: We live in a Russian regime and Ivanishvili rules this regime - all laws are made by the decisions of one person

Any state and any government is judged by how it reacts to natural disasters and such events. It is the duty of the ruling team to create safe conditions for its population, - the fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, stated in an interview with PalitraNews.

According to Zurabishvili, although no one can prevent natural disasters, some things could have been foreseen in advance, “for example, instead of water jets, the state should have purchased heavy equipment that is used during natural disasters.”

“This is not speculation, this is a reality that everyone sees and, first of all, the local population, who is there and is experiencing this situation, sees and assesses it.

Any state and any government is judged by how it reacts to such cases and such events. It is the duty of the ruling team to create safe conditions for its population”, Salome Zurabishvili said.

As the fifth president noted, a Russian regime has been established in the country.

“This is already a Russian regime precisely because it does not rule the country, but puts the country under a repressive machine, and this is a typically Russian regime. It is not just a dictatorship, dictatorship is something else. I do not know if (Bidzina Ivanishvili) is a Russian man or if he is under Russian influence, or if there are some blackmail materials against him - historians may one day establish this, for me it is not essential, what is essential is that we live in a Russian regime and Ivanishvili rules this regime. All laws are made by the decisions of one person.

I don’t know what he wants to achieve, the fact is that we are in the Russian regime today and it is our goal to prevent this from happening,” the fifth president noted.
