For the record, the Tbilisi City Court sentenced Mikheil Saakashvili, the third president, to 9 years in prison in the case of embezzling budgetary funds. The former head of the State Security Service, Teimuraz Janashia, was fined 300,000 GEL. The decision in this case was announced by Judge Badri Kochlamazashvili. The prosecution accused Saakashvili and Janashia of embezzling a large sum of 9 million GEL from thestate budget.
