Tina Bokuchava: I am ready to take any oath, whether it be under the Constitution, civil procedure, or religious oath before the Bible, that I have never received any phone from any president, including the third president

I am ready to take any oath, whether it be under the Constitution, civil procedure, or religious oath before the Bible, that I have never received any phone from any president of Georgia, including the third president, at any time during any year - this is how the chairperson of the "United National Movement," Tina Bokuchava, responded to a journalist's question, which implied that money was spent from the budget for her during the presidency of Mikheil Saakashvili.

Bokuchava calls this an accusation of slander, which, according to her, should be investigated by an independent court.

"There is no evidence of this. This is complete slander, which I have been hearing since 2012. Slander, which must be investigated by an independent court. I am ready to take any oath, whether it be under the Constitution, civil procedure, or religious oath before the Bible, that I have never received any phone from any president of Georgia, including the third president, at any time during any year. Therefore, I will certainly demand answers regarding this slander and this accusation from the relevant individuals once Georgia has an independent court. I will certainly demand answers to this," said Tina Bokuchava.

Regarding the court's decision, in which Mikheil Saakashvili was sentenced to 9 years in prison for embezzling large amounts of budget funds, and Teimuraz Janashvili was fined 300,000 GEL, Bokuchava stated, "This ruling will not scare anyone."

"For 11 years, prosecutors, who were trained in this case, were looking for evidence that President Saakashvili had embezzled any budget funds, but they found no evidence during these 11 years. Finally, they declared that the funds were embezzled, meaning they were spent inappropriately. Of course, for Russian Ivanishvili, spending for hosting President Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and many other world leaders is considered inappropriate. However, it is considered appropriate for Ivanishvili's Russian regime to spend from the state budget for hosting Grigoryan, the bullets fired at people protesting his visit and his seating in the chair of the Speaker of Parliament," Bokuchava added.

Recall that the prosecution accused Mikheil Saakashvili, the third president of Georgia, and the former head of the Special State Protection Service, Teimuraz Janashvili, of embezzling large amounts of budget funds. According to the prosecution, the expenses amounted to over 9 million GEL over 3 years and 9 months, and the expenses primarily involved members of the government, politicians, and their associated individuals. According to the prosecution's statement, "1600 GEL was paid for the purchase of an iPhone mobile phone for Tina Bokuchava."
