It is deliberate that no one has been interested in reviewing the footage [of the Khoshtaria case] to date - they simply do not want to look the truth in the eye or in the footage, - said the leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze.
He calls on interested parties to come to the Ministry of Internal Affairs and see the "horrific footage of Khoshtaria's torture."
"Anyone who is not convinced that Khoshtaria and his bosses and accomplices are lying is now completely biased. If anyone could have suspected that anyone had really done anything to this person, today no one should have any doubts, given that even his lawyer did not want to see the footage.
Are they saying that she was brutally tortured?! It seems that she was tortured, but isn't it on the footage?! Anyone can come (the Ministry of Internal Affairs offers this) and see these "horrible torture footage". As the ministry says, the footage is continuous," Mdinaradze said.
For information, on March 29, Elene Khoshtaria stated that she was completely stripped naked by law enforcement officers at the Digomi Main Police Department, and before that, she was physically abused at the police station on Ramishvili Street. In response, the Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that “the necessary procedures prior to placement in a temporary detention center were carried out in full compliance with the law.” According to the agency, the procedures for placement in the detention center were recorded by surveillance cameras.
