Citizens hold protest near the First Channel building while the Public Broadcaster's supervisory board holds a meeting

Citizens are holding a protest near the First Channel building, in parallel with the meeting of the Public Broadcaster’s Supervisory Board.

They have brought banners with various messages, including: "Light - Truth," "Airwaves for the People," "You Cannot Silence the Voice of the People."

According to the protesters, the public broadcaster has not been serving the public for a long time.

Amidst the noise, the protesters saw off one of the members of the Supervisory Board, Bondo Mdzinarashvili.

Furthermore, Ministry of Internal Affairs employees did not allow the protesters to hang banners on the fence and warned them not to obstruct the passage of individuals entering the building.

The protesters stated that the Supervisory Board should elect a new chairperson during the meeting at the Public Broadcaster, but they believe that Vasili Maghlaperidze will still hold the position of chair.
